Web Design
The Challenge
When I started the job, the website was not mobile-friendly, which was a major issue for a large site that needed to sell tickets efficiently. The user experience was outdated and lacked the engagement necessary to drive conversions. To address this, I rebuilt the site using WordPress, ensuring a more modern, responsive design that improved usability across all devices. I worked closely with the CEO and directors of every department to ensure their needs and priorities were accurately represented while maintaining a cohesive, on-brand experience. This collaborative approach helped create a more engaging and user-friendly website that better served both the company and its customers.
The Solution
To keep the website effective and engaging, I continuously updated it to align with current UX/UI trends and adapted it based on demographic insights gathered through Google Analytics. In addition to refining the user experience, I developed a web store to sell animal adoption kits, which included educational materials about the animals and a plush version of each species. Beyond digital efforts, I contributed to exhibit design by illustrating animals and created a variety of marketing materials such as brochures, A-frames, table talkers, flyers, and other print collateral to boost customer engagement and increase foot traffic. I also collaborated with the education team to streamline the promotion and sale of summer camps, making it easier for families to discover and enroll in these programs.
